Welcome to cardSpark (hereinafter referred to as "this App"). This App is provided by an independent developer (hereinafter referred to as "we" or the "Developer"). We understand the importance of your personal information and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy aims to clearly and transparently explain how we handle your information when you use this App.
1. Core Privacy Principles
We adhere to the following principles in designing and developing this App:
- Local-First: All your data, including notes, cards, categories, images, etc., is by default stored only locally on your iOS device. This data will not automatically leave your device without your explicit action.
- You Have Full Control: You are the sole owner and manager of all data you create. You have complete control over generating, editing, backing up, sharing, and deleting your data.
- Type of Information: All text (such as project names, categories, entries, notes) and images that you manually create within the App.
- Processing: This information is only processed, stored, and displayed locally on your device. We do not collect, upload, analyze, or view your personal note content in any form. This data is 100% your private property.
- iCloud Sync: This App provides an optional feature for data backup and cross-device synchronization via Apple iCloud.
- The system will request your authorization when you first enable this feature.
- Once enabled, your App data will be synchronized in an encrypted manner through the Apple iCloud service. This process is handled entirely by Apple's systems, and we cannot access any data stored in your iCloud account.
- Data processing for iCloud is governed by the https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/, which we recommend you read.
- Basic Anonymous Information: For the stable operation and fundamental improvement of the App, we may collect completely anonymous, non-personally identifiable aggregated information through services provided by Apple (such as App Store Connect), for example: app crash reports, performance data, and statistics on feature usage frequency. This information does not contain any of your personal content.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Your data sharing is entirely under your active control:
- System Share Sheet: When you use the "Share" function provided by iOS to share an item or data with friends or other apps, this process is handled directly by the iOS operating system. The recipient, content, and method of sharing are entirely determined by you at the time of sharing. We do not intercept or have access to any data you send via the system share sheet.
- We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to any third party. We do not possess your personal content data ourselves.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Storage Location: All your data is primarily stored locally within the sandboxed file system of your iOS device. If iCloud sync is enabled, an encrypted copy is stored in the iCloud space associated with your personal Apple ID.
- Security Practices: We rely on the robust sandbox mechanisms provided by the iOS operating system to protect your local data from unauthorized access by other apps. The security of iCloud data transmission and storage is ensured by Apple. We recommend that you set a device passcode and enable two-factor authentication for your Apple ID for additional protection.
5. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data. You can:
- Access and Modify: View, edit, or delete any content you have created within the App at any time.
- Delete Data: Deleting the App will remove all data from your device. You can also manage or delete this App's iCloud backup data within your iCloud settings.
- Opt-Out: You can turn off iCloud sync for this App at any time in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage or Apps Using iCloud. Your data will then revert to being stored only locally.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will post the updated version within the App and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Please review it periodically. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
